To whom it may concern,

We contracted Steve and Dave to build our house for us in Ellerslie. Right from day one they were fantastic to work with. We had approached other builders for schedules and quotes but we felt that Solid Dream Construction (Masonry Home Specialists) were the most in touch with what we wanted in a home.

When deciding on what type of home to build we had some priorities, for example, large family space, entertaining kitchen, open plan family and formal lounge, living spaces opening to the courtyard for easy summer BBQ’s and kids space and internal garaging.

We felt that both Steve and Dave had the same picture in mind and they worked extremely hard to achieve this for us. They organized everything from start to finish and have listened to our needs and asked the appropriate questions to enable the building process to go very smoothly. Most decisions we had to make were accounted for at the first meetings we had with them. This highlights how organized and detailed they were. If there were any decisions to be made during the process, they were extremely patient, understanding and their communication was very good.

Steve, Dave and their team were very easy to work with, always cheerful and helpful when we visited the site during the building. They let us know if everything was going to schedule or if anything required further thought or time.

Steve and Dave had other contractors that they had used and were able to recommend people to us, which was very helpful when you don’t know anyone in those particular fields. All the other contractors were professional and easy to work with also. We would like to offer a special mention about the painters who worked extremely hard (even on a public holiday) to meet a deadline and were very friendly and helpful.

Overall, the building process went smoothly, we could not have asked more of them. We would definitely recommend Solid Dream Construction (Golder Residential Ltd) to anyone looking at building a new home or needing alterations/building jobs done.
